The 2017 Observatory comes from Poor Ranch Vineyards, a third generation grower outside of Hopland, CA in Mendocino County. Dry-farmed organically, the grapes were picked in early September to give the wine bright fruit flavors along with ample structure and acidity. The fresh black fruit flavors accompany notes of baking spice and black pepper on the finish. 

It was recently awarded a gold medal in the 2019 Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition.
